Description
PulStar Impulse Therapy Chiropractic Devices
Intended use of the PulStar is for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain due to joint subluxation, restricted joint mobility, myofacial spasm and ligamentous strain. The clinician uses a hand held impulse head to test the stiffness of the patient’s spine at each vertebral level, the results of this procedure are recorded in the patient file in a computer database and displayed on the computer screen. The clinician then decides where Therapy is needed and applies multiple impulses with the impulse head to those areas of the body of the patient with the intent of reducing spinal misalignments. After treatment, the clinician repeats the initial test of the patient’s spine to document changes in stiffness effected by the therapy.
The clinician uses the impulse head to apply a low force (5 to 15 pound force in test mode, 5 to 35 pound force in therapy mode) impulse to the body of the patient. The PulStar is therefore used to transfer energy to the body of the patient. During the application of the impulse to the body of the patient, the output of the force sensor is monitored and analyzed to provide the clinician with a measure of the resistance of the body of the patient to the impulse provided by the impulse head. In normal use, the PulStar G3 does not penetrate the skin of the patient or any orifice of the body of the patient. The PulStar G3 is intended to be applied to the skin of the patient and not to open or recently healed lesion. The application of the PulStar G3 is not intended to support any function of the body that might be critical to sustaining life.
PulStar Unique Features:
*Point function – Pulstar also comes with Point function, in which clinician can give multiple impulses of up to 90 frequencies per minute with up to 20 pounds of force. This feature is very beneficial and patients have seen instant results using Pulstar.
*Inbuilt Protocols – Pulstar comes with 25+ inbuilt protocols.
*Force Gauge – Pulstar have inbuilt force gauge, which helps clinician to put ideal required pressure on the impulse head during treatment.
*Position selector – Pulstar gives option to the therapist to choose between different position like Prone, Standing & Sitting.
*Intra body comparison – Pulstar do have intra body comparison for a patient Left to Right and right to left stiffness and treatment comparison
*Print Report – Clinician can print pre and post analysis along with his/her all last visit reports.
*Pre & Post analysis – Therapist and patient can see pre analysis and after treatment analysis to see the results.
*Inbuilt Patient Gallery – Clinician can record ‘n’ number of patient records and patient data depending on the system (computer) storage.
*Easy Interpretation – With the help of User friendly interface and easy to read Graphical results, both therapist and patient can see and understand the problems and results of the patient. It have 3 graphs ranging from yellow, green & red. Red shows the affected area where most misalignments need to be treated. Yellow shows the low scale misalignments and green symbolises no misalignments.
*Cooling Dock – Pulstar have cooling dock, which helps in the cooling of impulse head, and makes it ready to go within 2-4 minutes.
Accessories:
The PulStar G3 is supplied with five accessory patient probes used in conjunction with the impulse head. These include three dual prong probes designed to contact the patient at two points simultaneously (such as on each side of the spinous process) and two single tip probes used to contact the patient at a single point. These probes are used to test the stiffness of the spine as well as to provide therapy. In order to ensure safe application of these probes, each dual prong probe is machined from a solid billet of aircraft grade aluminum and the single tip probes are machined from a solid rod of stainless steel. After machining, the probe tips are covered with a replaceable elastomeric compound to ensure patient comfort and ease of cleaning/replacement. These probes are supplied with each PulStar G3 system and are considered part of the system and not a separate component.
