Specification :-
The Baseline Skinfold Caliper is used to measure the thickness of skin-folds. Measurements are taken at selected sites and the skin-fold measurement totals are translated to the provided tables to obtain a percentage of body fat. Measurement arms have floating tips to assure accurate and reproducible results. The caliper comes in a protective carrying case.
The main purpose of skinfold measurements is to estimate general fatness and the distribution of subcutaneous adipose tissue. Fat is pinched between a two-pronged caliper on designated body sites such as triceps, biceps, abdomen, iliac crest, just below the scapula, the thigh and the chest.
